Joint Opposition Front to be formed on Friday

* Karu likely to be named Common Candidate

The Joint Opposition Front (JOF) to contest the next Presidential Election was expected to be formally established on Friday, informed sources said.

The parties to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) based on a six-point programme, would include the United National Party(UNP), Jathika Hela Urumaya(JHU), National Movement for Social Justice(NMSJ), Democratic Peoples Front(DPF), Nava Sihala Urumaya(NSU), National Unity Alliance(NUA) and Eksath Janatha Peramuna(EJP).
